We would love to know more about you:

What is something you had to put off because of the pandemic that you have recently done or is on your list to do soon?
I have been unable to visit family in my home country of Switzerland since well before the Pandemic began.  I hope to visit my mother, nephew, and sisters in Switzerland before the end of 2023.

What does your art future hold for you?
I hope to continue making art full-time and I can find new venues to show and sell my work.  Artistically, I strive to challenge myself with each new project by experimenting with new materials, colors, and styles.

How do you keep motivated?
Being able to create art full-time is truly a gift.  I remind myself daily to be grateful and to keep challenging myself to push the limits of my creativity and my work ethic.

Name a famous artist who inspires you and one not yet famous artist you would like the readers to know about.
French artist John Beckley inspired me early in my career.   An artist I’d like to introduce your readers to is Andrew Sherman Evans, Jr. from Beacon,  NY.

Is there a current or upcoming show or exhibit you want to let people know about?
I just finished two shows here in Fort Lauderdale where I received the Audience Choice Award at both shows.  The next show is TBA.

What inspires you to be an artist and what inspiration can you pass on to others?
My dreams inspire and inform my work.  Oftentimes I’ll awake with an image or a color or a texture and I simply have to pick up the brush and start painting.   It’s beyond satisfying to complete that process and know that what I’ve put on the canvas is not only a glimpse into my dream world but also a reflection of my emotions and my spirit.

How are you spending your summer?
I am eating healthy and exercising and painting… as much as I can.   I’m in the process of creating a space in my backyard where I can paint and work on other creative projects.

How are you giving back to your community? I donate a number of paintings a year to art auctions and other non-profit fundraising events for cultural and LGBTQ+ organizations.

Let’s end with a fun fact about you.
For many years, I worked as a stuntman in film and television both in Switzerland and the United States.
